Since we opened our doors 20 years ago, BDI Events has had the same mission. We create events that are meaningful and seamlessly managed -- as well as beautiful, engaging and innovative. In today’s busy world, it’s no small feat to inspire, engage and delight guests. No matter if it’s a few hours or a few days, our hands-on, full-service approach maximizes your time and resources to ensure maximum impact.
Led by founders Amy Green and Joe Martin, BDI has a team of highly experienced and dedicated event designers and planners. Each team member has a background in event logistics, production, speaker coordination, site selection and contract negotiations. We’re one of the best event planning companies capable of hosting impactful events around the world.
Our event planners also have long-standing relationships with the vendors and partners who are essential in the event planning process. This includes audio-visual, decor and florals, printing, graphic designers and more.

Amy Green, Co-Founder
Amy leads the production of our social and fundraising events. Her passion is crafting your event’s timeline and script, and then seeing your story come alive as a result. A native of Austin, TX, but an Angeleno for the last two decades, Amy believes events are crucial in furthering the reach of any organization. When she’s not event-planning, Amy is spending time with her family, ideally while eating Tex-Mex and ice cream.
Courtney Mancini, Conference Manager
Courtney joined BDI Events in 2015 with a background in managing high-level event logistics and coordination. She is skilled at managing registration systems as well as custom mobile app development technologies for before and during events. Courtney is a proud dog mom, who loves outdoor photography and the NYT Crossword.
RJ Hurley, Event Manager
RJ has worked in events and entertainment for over 15 years. After starting his career in film and television production, he found his passion in creating memorable live events. His passion is adding creative and personalized touches to otherwise traditional event experiences. Knowing the importance of all that goes into a successful event, he puts a direct focus on the exciting experience that any event should bring to everyone involved.
Joe Martin, Partner
Joe oversees our global conferences and meetings. For every event — in-person or virtual — his ultimate goal is to create outside-the-box ideas that make your guests’ experience anything but predictable. He loves to meet with clients as well as connect people to each other and to their shared organization. If he’s not planning your event, you can likely find him jet-setting on a Delta Airlines flight to exciting destinations around the world.
Braidy Barnett, Account Director
Braidy’s favorite part of event planning is having the opportunity to help each client find unique ways to connect people as well as creatively showcase its mission and goals. When Braidy is leading your event, she ensures every detail is given thoughtful care and creativity. In her free time, you can find her crafting on her Cricut or wandering around Disneyland.
Maya Simonpur, Special Events Manager
Maya loves the excitement of interlocking the many puzzle pieces that make BDI’s events successful, meaningful and one-of-a-kind. With a background in hotel management and TV production, Maya leads our event registration, travel logistics and guest support, among other event elements. She is a mother to two children, and along with her husband, she enjoys seeking out new adventures.
