BDI Events is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to achieve Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA compliance.
 
Designed to work with your settings
Our site is built to complement the accessibility tools you already use. We believe the settings you’ve chosen for your own device are the ones that serve you best, so we’ve focused on making our site work with them. Your screen reader, zoom and magnification settings, high-contrast modes, and keyboard preferences carry over to our site. 

Recommended browser
For the best experience, we recommend using Google Chrome. Our accessibility testing found the most consistent results there, especially for keyboard navigation and screen readers.


What we’ve done

  • Zoom and text resizing. Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality, ensuring layouts stay legible across devices.

  • Images. Images include descriptive alternative/alt text.

  • Forms. Each form field has a clear label and instructions.

  • Keyboard navigation. The site can be navigated without a mouse:

    • A “skip to content” link is available.

    • A visible focus indicator shows where you are on the page.

    • The tab order follows a logical sequence.

    • No features depend on mouse hover.

    • Team bio pop-ups close with the Escape key.

  • Screen readers. Key pages have been tested with assistive technologies, including VoiceOver and NVDA.

  • Color contrast. Text and interactive elements maintain sufficient color contrast for improved readability.
